EDWARDS AFB YOUTH PROGRAMS INSTRUCTIONAL CLASSES
Edwards AFB Youth Programs offers instructional classes for youth beginning at age 1 including Dance, Gymnastics and the Edwards AFB Youth Programs School of Music in the Youth Center.
CLASSES
DANCE
Creative Movement Class
Open to ages 2-3 years old
1 session on Tuesdays from 9:30 am-10:15 am at the Jungle Zone Bldg. #7210 behind Subway. This class has a max of 8 participants.
Children ages 2-3 (with their caregiver) will have fun exploring movement and rhythm with props and songs.
Primary Dance Class (Pre-Ballet & Pre-Tap)
1 session on Thursdays from 2:45-3:30pm
Classes are held at the Jungle Zone Bldg. #7210 located behind Subway. This class has a max of 8 participants.
Children ages 4-5 will learn introductory ballet and tap movements.
Beginner Ballet & Tap Class
Open to ages 6-10 years old
1 session on Thursdays from 3:35-4:20pm
Classes are held at the Jungle Zone Bldg. #7210 located behind Subway. This class has a max of 15 participants.
Children ages 6-10 will learn ballet and tap terminology and perform combos at the barre, center, and across the floor.
Registration
Registration is through CYPBMS. Sports Physical and Flu Shot Record must be on file. If you need assistance with creating an account or signing up, please contact the Youth Center at 661-275-5437.

Cost
Creative Movement Dance Class: $45 per month (4 classes per month)
Primary Dance Class (Pre Ballet & Pre Tap): $50 per month (4 classes per month)
Beginner Ballet & Tap: $55 per month (4 classes per month)
GYMNASTICS
Mommy & Me Class
1 session on Mondays from 9:00 – 9:30 am
Sessions are held at the Jungle Zone, Bldg. #7210, located behind Subway. This class has a max of 10 participants.
A fun social and gross motor skill development opportunity for toddlers and their caregivers. Learn about body parts, colors, and basic gymnastic skill with parent assistance.
Preschool Gymnastics Class
Open to ages 3-4 years old
- 1 session on Mondays from 9:35 – 10:15 am
Sessions are held at the Jungle Zone, Bldg. #7210, located behind Subway. This class has a max of 6 participants.
A beginner level experience working on basic gymnastic skills, colors, counting, and following basic directions. A great opportunity to build independence while starting to work through gymnastic stations with coach assist.
School Age Gymnastics Class
Open to ages 5-8 years old
Mondays:
- 4:00 – 4:40 pm
- 4:45 – 5:25 pm
Sessions are held at the Jungle Zone, Bldg. #7210, located behind Subway. Each class has max of 8 participants.
Beginner level gymnastic class. Warm up, stretching, basic skills on bars, beams, and floor.

SCHOOL OF MUSIC LESSONS
Lessons Offered
The School of Music offers lessons for piano, guitar, voice and drums.
Lessons are open to ages 5 & up.

The cost is $32 for each half hour lesson for piano, voice, and guitar.
The cost is $30 for each half hour lesson for drums.
A 10% discount for additional siblings is offered for all lessons.
